Who is a Sai devotee and what are the attributes a Sai devotee supposed to possess? ..while many of us aspire to tag the title ‘Sai devotee’ along with our names, let’s listen to Bhagawan’s own words, describing and defining a true Sai bhakta, Sai devotee, through a letter written by Him to a ‘devotee’, as published in Sanathana Sarathi, October 1964. Moksha is the final goal of man; that is why he is endowed with Vijnana, the special capacity to analyse and synthesise experience. The Upanishads declare “Jnanadevathu Kaivalyam”. (Kaivalyam-through Jnana only) For those who yearn to be saved, Sai Namam is the Sanjeevini, the potent drug. Those who have the Name ever on their tongues must be vigilant so that egoism and the sense of possession (Aham-karam and Mama-karam) do not rob them of the fruits of Sadhana. Really, man is Jnanaswarupa. Since the beginning of Time, man has deluded himself into believing that the world is true [...]

Bhagawan Who had made the epochal declaration, as a teenager, that “I Am Sai Baba; I have come to ward off all your troubles; keep your houses clean” had later assured a devotee: “You can be wherever you are; I shall come to you; If you call upon Me, I shall be at your side.” Endeavouring to bring ‘Him’ home, the most beloved Divine form, every devotee with pure-hearted devotion stands with a chance to win His grace to manifest Him. While meditating upon this holy task of bringing The Lord to our homes, let’s take a peek at one of His home visits happened in the early sixties…as chronicled by H Sunder Rao… Are we really ready to ‘bring Him home? …and to fathom the inexplicable potential of Prasanthi? When time waste becomes life waste, knowing very well that we have to pay for being slack, how should man deal with time making the best of it…a poem from Sri Jullie Chaudhuri. Unknown to us all, The light found its way through, Could have been some of the ignorant few, Unaware of His presence on Earth, A life of no worth, Vain would have been this birth… So why did He choose to let us know?
12 May 2013, Prasanthi Nilayam: Sanathana Dharma preached and practised by Bhagawan finds a new set of followers, who are willing to take the message of Bhagawan into the masses. Endeavouring to spread this foremost potential teaching by Bhagawan, ‘Sanathana Vaibhavam’ led by popular instrumental artist Smt Emani Lalita Krishna presented a Musical Offering at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet on 12 May evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. This is the first of a proposed series of offerings by the group based out of Hyderabad, propagating Sanathana Dharma. The evening’s concert had Smt Emani Lalita Krishna playing Chitra Veena, also known as Gottu Vadyam, followed by solo vocal by Sri Sai Pavan and flute instrumental by Sri Ramakrishna. Chitra Veena is a fretless lute for Carnatic Music.
When Bhagawan Himself says His Name is not distinct from His Form, when Form and Name become inseparable, is it right to call Bhagawan’s transition, from the physical to the subtle, “From Form To Formless” asks Dr Sara Pavan, narrating a couple of His ever increasing ”Divine Sport’ of His physical manifestations post His passing on from the physical plane… God is the basis of everything known and unknown. God (Brahman) has no particular form (nirakar), neither any attribute (nirguna), and is the substratum in All that IS, which cannot be defined by the limited language of man. The mind and the senses can only perceive forms associated with attributes. Let us reconsider the phrase – “From Form to Formless”. Form and Name are inseparable. There is no Form without a Name and there is no Name without a Form. We cannot even imagine or picture anything that is ‘formless’! Neither can we give a name to anything that is [...]

Imagine a world without greenery around, without the four legged ones, without the flying colours? Such a world would be hollow without the essence. Man is blessed to co-exist in this beautiful world, with plants, animals, birds and all other living ‘loving’ creatures. If alone man understands his duty, his legacy, to live practising “Love All Serve All, Help Ever Hurt Never”, coexisting with his co-creation, he can surely claim that his heart has been touched by God. Why man should co-exist in nature and why do animals, birds matter for him? Read on as Ms. Mercinini Sheratt from the United Kingdom writes about the beauty of animal kingdom, citing Bhagawan’s priceless quotes. The writer, an English Teacher by profession, has been a long time devotee and is currently spiritual co-ordinator for Region 6 in the UK. She has also been taking active interest in animal welfare and animal rights. Why do animals matter? Although Bhagawan often begs us not [...]

In today’s world of competition and corruption, jealousy and hatred, transformation is what man needs the most. How are we to achieve it? This transformation should come from within and that too on a mass scale. Just as one tree does not make a forest or one house a village, so also one man’s transformation does not serve the purpose of society. According to Swami, for the transformation of humanity, first each individual has to transform himself, next there should be transformation in the family, then transformation in the community, thereafter transformation in the nation which finally leads to transformation in the world, writes Sri Parthish Dubey, then (1989) a XII standard student at Bhagawan’s school. Extracted from his speech delivered in the immediate Divine Presence. Read on… This transformation is of two types—mental and spiritual, (Swami corrects me saying that it is for good transformation, as transformation can be good or bad). We can take the example of [...]

I only mean that re-establishing Dharma, correcting the crookedness of the human mind and guiding humanity back to Sanathana Dharma will be My task thereafter. Read on… Do not be led away by doubt and vain argument; do not question how and whether I can do all this. The cowherds of Brindavan also doubted whether the little boy who grew in their midst could lift Govardanagiri and hold it aloft! The thing needed is Faith, and yet more Faith.
