Governor’s Aradhana…

One of the most decorated officers of Indian Civil Services, His Excellency Sri ESL Narasimhan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, held many important positions including that of the Director of Intelligence Bureau before assuming gubernatorial posts for the states of Chattisgarh, followed by Andhra Pradesh. Delivering Chief Guest’s address during the Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam held in April, the Governor spoke of His perceptions about Bhagawan. Easwaramma Day Commemoration

Bhagawan has often been heard to tell the words, “Do I need to invite you to your own mother’s house?” There is no power as magnetic as Mother’s love. No wonder then that thousands thronged the Easwaramma – Pedda Venkama Raju Samadhi Mandir on the holy occasion of Easwaramma day. Ugadi in Prasanthi Nilayam…

Nandana Nama Ugadi, herading of the arrival of vernacular Telugu New Year, was celebrated this year in Prasanthi Nilayam in the Divine Presence of Bhagawan on the 23rd of March marked by special programmes.  Over the years Prasanthi had the unique boon of celebrating the new year in the physical presence of the Avatar of The Age, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This being the first new year after Bhagawan’s physical passing on last year had a nostalgic flavour of His mighty physical presence.

On the 25th morning after the regular Vedic chanting by the students, Panchanga Shravanam (recitation of religious almanac pertaining to the coming year) was conducted by noted vedic scholar Sri Kuppa Siva Subrahmanya Avadhani. As the festivity marks the beginning of a new Panchanga, it is significant to conduct Panchanga Shravanam, hearing of the annual forecast as predicated in the Panchanga. read more »

Cultural Festival by Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions

After the Sports & Cultural Meet on Jan 11, 2012, the following days witnessed a series of Cultural Presentations by different campuses, exhibiting rich repertoire of talent  among students.  Students from the Brindavan Campus, Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Sri Sathya Sai Mirupuri College of Music, Anantapur Campus and finally Prasanthi Nilayam Campus presented cultural programmes on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th of January. Christmas is one of the biggest Christian holy days celebrated throughout the world. Though it is celebrated in almost the same way in all countries, there are still some old unique customs which differ form country to country.

The aim of the Balkan South European countries led by Croatia that took up this monumental task was to present this wonderful event describing the birth of Jesus in a way which will be familiar to all Christians.
