Musical Concert on the Holi evening…

Today is Holi, one of the most boisterous and colourful festival of India, often celebrated with pompous joy, zeal and enthusiasm.

The festivity has been a permanent feature in the Prasanthi Festive Calendar ever since year 2005 when Bhagawan graciously consented the twin states, Bihar & Jharkhand to celebrate the festivity in His immediate Divine Presence.

This year, over 700 devotees from the twin states have arrived Prasanthi Nilayam celebrating the holy occasion once again in the Divine Presence. Celebrating the occasion there was a musical concert by Kumari A. Jyotsna, who presented a string of devotional numbers soothing the minds and hearts of the evening’s assembly. The fifty minute rendition included some Telugu numbers, hailing Bhagawan, some special Holi song and a couple of Meera Bhajans. Regaling the audience with the beauty of her melody the young artiste incited applause from the audience after every song.

At the end of the prorgramme the artiste and accompanists were felicitated by senior officials of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations from the states.

Bhajans by the state troupe continued for the next fifteen minutes that ended with Thursday Special, “Shivaya Parameshwaraya Chandrasekharaya…” in Bhagawan’s mellifluous voice. Mangala Arathi was offered at 1815 hrs.

Prof. Anil Kumar, announcing the next day’s programme, appreciated the young artiste for her classic performance advising her to make frequent visits to the Divine Abode. Tomorrow, Devotees from the state will participate in a “Pallakki Mahotsava”, a palanquin procession that will also feature a riot of ‘Holi’ colours, in the morning at 0830 hrs. followed by  a musical offering by Shri Krishna Kumar Mishra and troupe in the evening.
