Sai Grama Vahini – Drama by Rajasthan Balvikas and Youth…

If you want to serve your country, then go to the villages – said Bhagawan once. Taking a cue from this Divine clarion call, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations – India has been relentlessly spearheading His ‘Love in Action’ in the form of Sri Sathya Sai Village Integration Programme (SSSVIP).

The SSSVIP that was launched in 2007 has grown leaps and bounds, flourishing into a mighty operational wing of the organisation. Today, in the third and final evening of the ongoing Rajasthan Parthi Yatra, Balvikas children along with Sai Youth jointly offered a programme entitled ‘Sai Grama Vahini’ here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation in Hindi depicted a sample of His ‘Love Expedition’ in one of the remote villages in Rajasthan.

How He takes His ‘100 steps’ when one, filled with earnestness and love, takes the first step in serving selflessly??? – the youth from Rajasthan had this rare wonder experience of Divine reciprocation when they first decided to enter into a remote ‘unattended’ village, Hardi of Ajmer district, with their Love In Action service package.

Armed with Bhagawan’s message of love, a group of youth members enters this most underdeveloped village and starts their operation with a small medical camp. True to the meaningful 1960’s song, Jyot Se Jyot Jagaate Chalo…, this small intentional token of love soon spreads out, covering the entire village, providing multidimensional service packages fulfilling the needs of the entire Village.

The service package included, installing a deity in the local temple, in place of a broken one, counseling of distracted youth, regular veterinary camps for the four-legged/winged children of Sai, Sai protein distribution for women and children, taking care of the hapless, forlorn aged ones, etc.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
