Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand Parthi Yatra…

Lucknow based budding singer Sachet Tandon offered a bouquet of Sufi songs this evening as part of the Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand Parthi Teerth Yatra here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Over 300 hundred devotees have come from the twin States attending the 3 – day pilgrimage.

Sufi tradition looks at Him as the Beloved, singing hearts out with love for the Beloved. This evening was no different as the passionate singer presented a series of ‘Teri Deewani’ numbers singing love for The Lord in His immediate omnipresence. His evening numbers included “Sahin Nazar Rakhna Mowla Nazar Rakhna…”, “Saiya Tu Jo Chule Pyar Se Chu Le…”, “Allah Ke Bandhe Hasde…”, “Tere Naam Se Je Loon Tere Naam…”, to name a few. An alluring popular number “Damadam Mast Qalandar…” marked the end of the concert.

“I am what today because of Him…” said the singer expressing gratitude, commencing the programme. David, Ankit and Veeyal accompanied the artist on the keyboard, percussion and guitar respectively.

Earlier, commencing the session, Sri Rajeev Chopra, State President of SSSSO for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, briefed about the organisational service initiatives in the run up to the 90th Birthday of Bhagawan. Simultaneous, ‘across the state’, multifarious service programmes are being organised covering both the states.

Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
