Sathya Sai International Leadership Programme – Graduation Ceremony…
Friday, November 24th, 2017
Sathya Sai International Organisation, SSIO, held its III annual graduation ceremony for SSILP (Sathya Sai International Leadership Programme) 2017 this evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. 456 YAs from 59 countries received the honour in the function held in Sai Kulwant Hall, in the immediate Divine OmniPresence Of Beloved Bhagawan.
The Sathya Sai International Leadership Programme (SSILP) for Young Adults (YAs) was developed in 2014 to provide standardised leadership training to YAs from all over the world, based on Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings. The course covers both foundational knowledge and practical application in society. The goal of the SSILP is to develop future leaders who will not only disseminate Bhagawan’s message through rendering service to society, but also lead a rejuvenation of human values throughout the globe. The programme ensures all-round development of the YAs into prospective leaders.
“We have the responsibility to exemplify and share Bhagawan’s teachings and messages” said Mr. Devesh Tankaria, International Young Adult’s Coordinator and Chair of the SSSILP, addressing the fresh graduates this evening. Presenting a structural overview of the project curriculum, Devesh urged the graduates to get involved in His work, embracing the golden opportunity to serve and uphold His message, practising the same. The speaker also presented the project highlights of the programme during the past one year, spanning six continents, before ending on a personal note profusely thanking Bhagawan for all that He has been for him, through and through.
Ms Concepcion Avila Benitez from Mexico, one of the fresh graduants spoke next, narrating her personal experience that led her finally to the SSILP. Caught up in a turbulent wave of oddities, both in the organisational and personal front, Ms Avila Benitez had the most puzzling question to herself at some point in time, raising a question mark on The Power Of Love. It was then that she got a inner Sai prompting to join the SSILP. Speaking from a heart that is free from the malice of the world, the young graduate credited one of her favourite Swami discourses, ‘My Life Is My Message’, for changing her perception of life, effecting great transformation.
As was the Little Sathya in His teen days, practising all virtues showcasing the world the right path, this young aspirant started following all good things in her lif, making Swami as her role model, bringing her back into a life full of values and virtues. The work in the Sai organisation is a rare opportunity given to mankind to restore righteousness in the world, reminded Avila Benitz thanking Bhagawan for the grand opportunity bestowed upon her to build her life with Him and with His organisation.
Sai YAs and Children from the Sathya Sai School Of Thailand then presented a video song titled, ‘Our Love’.
The final presentation was a musical offering of six gems by the YAs around the world, presented in three different languages, Hindi, English and Spanish, singing paeans in adoration of The Master Divine. Ttiled ‘One Heart To Love All, Infinite Hands To Seve All’, the musical offering had, along with other numbers, a Spanish number, Ven Mi Sai Brahma…meaning Come My Sai Brahma…, invoking the Divine turned out to be an inciting, energising number, sung with passionate devotion, joined by the vast congregation.
Fresh graduants were then presented with the certificate by senior members of SSIO along with Member Trustees of SSSCT.
Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
