Musical Delight On Guru Purnima Evening…

After a resoundingly blissful morning session, the evening on the auspicious Guru Purnima turned out to be filled with musical delight, here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Reminding the audience of the supreme benediction of Him being The SadhGuru, Who shows us the path to liberation, Dr Reddy in an enlightening speech extolled the land of His birth, Puttaparthi, as Punyabhumi, Karmabhumi, Thyagabhumi, Premabhumi and Sandheshabhumi, explaining the significance of each of the attribute that takes one to the exalted state of Prasanthi. Summarising his concept for the evening Dr. Reddy stressed on the importance of cultivating unwavering faith suffused with unsullied love. With love alone we can win Him, said Dr. Reddy, reminding the audience of the absolute necessity to develop faith in Him…faith in His Name, faith in His Words…faith in His Works and Faith in His Messages.

A multi-lingual Carnatic offering by famed Ms Vasudha Ravi from Chennai followed next. Commencing with a ‘Jai Ganesh’ offering presenting “Gam Ganapathaye…”, Ms. Vasudha, in the next 50 minutes, along with a host of musical talents presented a most tranquil musical evening, serenading The SadhGuru with a string of devotionals, ranging from Prananalasam… to Gurulekha Etuvandi…to Sri Ramachandram Sranam Prapadye… to Muddu Gare Yasodha… Ms. Vasudha is is a popular young Carnatic vocalist, who had her tutelage under Dr.Manjula Sriram. Vasudha is an ‘A’ Graded artist with AIR, also have won many accolades for her excellence in the field.

Ms. Vasudha was ably accompanied by an enthusiastic pack of musicians, Ms. Rangapriya Shankar Narayanan on Violin, Sri. Navaneet Sundar on Keyboard, Sri Shallu Varun on Base Guitar, Sri ST Aditya on Tabla, Sri Sai Raghavan on Mridangam along with Ms Vasanta Jayaraman as additional percussionist.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
