Maha Poornahuthi Offering at Prasanthi Nilayam

Marking the grand culmination of Devi Navaratri, Prasanthi Nilayam this morning witnessed the Maha Poornahuthi to the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna at the Poornachandra Auditorium in the immediate Divine OmniPresence of Beloved Bhagawan.

Today marks the auspicious Vijaya Dasami that symbolises the victory of good over evil. True to the significance, by Bhagawan’s infinite blessings and His Divine Sankalpa, the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna that commenced on Oct 9 went on for the past one week with great superseding spirit culminating today, symbolising the victory of good over evil. The Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna that had its initiation in 1962 at Bhagawan’s ‘direct’ behest is aimed at Universal Peace and Harmony.

For the fraternity of Sai devotees, the occasion on this ’15 Oct’ comes with the added flavour of Infinity. On Oct 15, a century ago, precisely in 1918, Bhagawan Shirdi Sai had resolved to leave His mortal frame leaving the most potent message of ‘SeemoLanghan’. SeemoLanghan, in the simplest of terms, means ‘breaking the shackles of finite limitations’ (of body, mind), becoming Infinite. That day over 103 years ago, the chosen day of Shirdi Sai’s ‘SeemoLanghan’ was the blessed Vijaya Dasami.

As the beautiful day dawned in sacrosanct Prasanthi this morning, the proceedings began at scheduled 0700 hrs with Yajna in the backdrop of holistic Vedic incantations. The first phase of the Yajna continued till 0900 hrs. Then, after a short stint of bhajans, Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed.

The recording of Oct 1, 1976, Dasara discourse was on the Oneness of Supreme Godhead. How, gradually, religious misuse and abuse happened to derail the whole system, highlighted Bhagawan, emphasising that there is only One Caste, the Caste of Humanity, there is only One Religion, the Religion of Love. The essence of all religions is the Religion of Sai.

The commencement of the final phase began shortly after 0930 hrs with the procession carrying Poornahuthi Samagri (items connected to the Poornahuthi) commencing at the Mandir, set to the venue Poornachandra.

With a packed audience watching the proceedings, with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai, The Yajna Purusha, presiding over in His OmniPresent Form, the Maha Poornahuthi was offered into the sacred fire at 0950 hrs. With the streaming ghee over the dhaarini (silver spoon) turned exciting and enhancing for the ‘fire god’ that turned rising its hood, with holy Vedic chantings adding zealous zest in the ambience around, the entire session turned out to be infinitely potent. The message of Prasanthi Nilayam’s everlasting blessing upon humanity was loud and clear, the ultimate message of Unity, Purity and Divinity, to move United with hearts full of Purity unto the final bastion of Divinity - Becoming and Being!

With the Prasanthi Nilayam doors turned opened after the pandemic restrictions welcoming the devotees, a capacity audience turned up this morning to the venue, basking in the glory of the Prasanthi Dasara celebrations.

Granting an additional whiff of grace for the devout assembly, prokshanam, the sprinkling of sanctified water was offered next, blessing the concourse of devotees.

Mangala Arathi at 1045 hrs marked the end of the morning proceedings.

Back to connecting the dots with the message of SeemoLanghan, connecting the dots with the Poornahuthi offering to the Holy Yajna in the Ultimate of Eternal Presence, the message is loud and clear for the devout hearts, to get engaged into the everlasting Poornahuthi Yajna, burning out the individual ego into the Chidagni Kunda, the Fire Of Supreme ‘Sai’ Consciousness!
