Abhirami Ajai Sings To The Heart Of The Divine!!!

When heart sings with the voice originating from its deep recesses, it turns out to be the voice of the Soul… When the voice of the Soul takes over, it touches hearts many, awakening individual souls within. This evening, on the concluding day of the 2- day Vishu celebrations by Kerala, upcoming singer from the State,  Kum Abhirami Ajai sang herself into the heart of her Beloved Bhagawan and thus to many a heart present in the spacious Sai Kulwant Hall. The offering was titled – Sai Premadhaara, Stream Of Sai’s Love.

This evening, Abhirami began with a ‘Jai Ganesh’ number, singing the Carnatic Keertan, Bala Kanakamaya Chela Sujana.. flowing on non-stop for an hour singing a collection of Carnatic Keertans, Abhangs, and Prasanthi Bhajans, ending with a ‘SaiLent’ reminder to the august audience, chanting the Cosmic Maha Mantra, Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu, three times.

A scintillating Samaja Vara Gamana next was followed by a Prasanthi Bhajan with an interesting aalaap, Jai Jai Sai Janani…. a vernacular mix (Malayalam) on Guru’s glory, Jape Thu Man Mein SadhGuru Sai Mantram… was followed by an inciting “Jai Maha Maruti…, a Marati Abhang. Swagatam Krishna…, and MahaPrana Deepam… followed next before the final number, Brahmamokkade…ParaBrahmamokkade, one of the famous Annamacharya Keertans in Telugu.

Singing tirelessly for an hour, Abhirami was  a perfect picture of Bhava – Raga – Thala…, mixing and modulating, raising and balancing with perfect elan. In fact, she had begun with a fervent prayer to Bhagawan to ‘sing’ through each one of them, performing in the evening. Ever since her maiden concert in Prasanthi Nilayam during the Onam festival in September 2015, Abhirami has been active in Sai circles, singing for Bhagawan.

This evening, Abhirami was accompanied by Sarvasree Kallaikkulangara P. Unnikrishnan, Sai Giridhar S Prabhu, S. Venkataraman and Anup Bhaskar on Mridangam, Tabala, KeyBoard and Violin respectively.

Before concluding Abhirami spoke in brief, on the absolute significance of the Cosmic Maha Mantra for Peace, Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu, chanting the same three times. A prefect finishing to a soulful musical treat.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed. Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
