Happy Birthday In Prasanthi Nilayam…

The Unique Graciousness That heard the collective plea of unbounded intensity when chose to answer, responded in a most incomparable fashion, descending HimSelf with Almighty powers – revealing HimSelf as The Lord Of All Gods… Sarvadevataateeta Swarupa. …And the dotted day  was 23rd November 1926.

Today, when The Day broke into its 91st version, it was joy abounding all over. Prasanthi remained joyfully bustling with renewed vigour and vitality, reliving her nostalgia incomparable.

In the morning, the House Of The Lord shone in brilliance, adorned in multi-hued decor, and a packed meditative house awaited Him in its silence deep within, seeking perhaps a most coveted encore… obviously the most incomparable blessing one cold ever seek from Him, on this very day.

The auspicious morning proceedings began at 0820 hrs with a percussion display by the University boys, playing to the tune of melodious Prasanthi Bhajans. Panchavadyam troupe followed next.

Adoring The Lotus Feet Of The SadGuru Supreme, students then offered a session of hymns singing paeans to Beloved Bhagawan. Representing the zillion multitudes around the globe, the fraternity profusely thanked Bhagawan for His ‘Beauty Beyond Compare’ incomparable blessing. The session went on for 40 minutes, until 0900 hrs, producing 5 gems that included an invocation, a Carnatic classical, a heart-wrenching Hindi number calling out SaiMaa, Why Fear When I Am Here… and Sai Ke Darbar Mein…

A series of speeches followed next. Sri V Srinivasan, Trust Member, SSSCT, welcomed all to the Head Office Of Bhagawan, that being Prasanthi Nilayam. He reiterated that, in Prasanthi Nilayam, Bhagawan speaks to devotees directly, not via media. He then introduced and welcomed special government dignitaries from the State Of Sikkim, that included the Assembly Speaker and two Ministers.

Sri SS Naganand, Trust Member, SSSCT, then presented the annual report of SSSCT, briefing in ‘bird’s eye view’ of the various activities sponsored by the Trust and other related developments. Giving out details of the Trust income and expenditure for the year, Sri Naganand then announced the induction of three new trustees to the SSSCT. Sri V Srinivasan, long-serving Trustee and formerly President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations – India, has announced his retirement as Trustee, owing to old age.

Dr Narendranath Reddy and Sri Nimish Pandya, respective heads of the Sathya Sai Organisations, Overseas and India, spoke on the legacy and glory of Bhagawan, enlightening the audience of some of the beautiful facets of ‘Love In Action’ happening around the world.

Sri Nimish Pandya rightly observed that, with Bhagawan being the Only Doer, it is impossible to create and present any report. Real reporting should be done at the end of the year, opined Sri Pandya, compiling the number of hearts that have been  touched and transformed. The vibrant speaker concluded requesting the audience for a Birthday Resolution, asking to resolve… that,  from thos day until our last breath, all will remain HAPPY.

Bhagawan’s Divine Discourse  followed, played on the public address system. Even as bhajans continued, a beeline of students and officials approached dais with greetings and Birthday Cakes.

The session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.

A zillion incantations knocked intensely at the Cosmic door and in response was ‘born’ Sri Sathya Sai…on this very day…let’s rejoice, celebrate, celebrate Sai in and around, all around, all abound.
