Bal Vikas Alumni Meet – Evening Session…

The second session of the ongoing 2-day Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Alumni Meet and Convention for Gr III Students featured inspirational talks, achievement award ceremony followed by bouquets of musical offerings this evening, in Prasanthi Nilayam. 

Addressing the pass outs and alumni of Bal Vikas, National Mahila Coordinator and pioneer of Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Movement, Ms Kamala Pandya called upon the Bal Vikas gurus to practise what they preach to become ideal role models for the blossoming generation of Bal Vikas fraternity. Insisting on the importance of harmony in Thought, Word and Deed, Ms Pandya explained the process of Be, Do, Tell with reference to training the Bal Vikas children. Various techniques adopted in the curriculum were well explained by the speaker, inserting beautiful anecdotes narrating the story of glory of Bhagawan’s pioneer children development programme.

Two of the alumni then shared their thoughts on the theme, Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas – The Only Ray Of Hope For Mankind. The speakers were, Sri Neeraj Kumar from Uttar Pradesh and Kum. Sai Janani from Karnataka who spoke in Hindi and English respectively.

Achievement Awards for excellence in three-fold areas of personal, professional coupled with organisational brilliance were then given away to 11 Bal Vikas alumni from Pan-India basis.  The winners are: Sarvashree Kishore Punewale (TN), Neeraj (HP), Ramanan Rao (Kar), Abburu Sai Raveendra (Bih), Ashok Kumar Biswal (Odi), Manash Kumar Barua (Ass), Preeti S. (TN), Riya Garg (Har), Sai Meera (Kar), Dipti Mohanty (Odi), Sandhya Rani (Ker).

Musical offerings followed next, first by the Mahila wing of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh followed by the Bal Vikas Alumni of Karnataka, who presented a programme entitled, Sai Swara Sarita, a fusion of musical instruments followed by devotional medley.

Bhajans by the Bal Vikas next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
