Spectacular Sports & Cultural Meet…

As in the morning session, Bhagawan was ushered into the stadium by a motorbike escort group. A beautiful photograph of Bhagawan placed in a convertible was brought into the stadium as the devotees had Darshan of their Lord. The tiny tots from Sri Sathya Sai Primary School began their performance with a riot of colours like in the previous years. Perfect synchronisation, harmony, balance and skill of the students were the highlight of the performance.

Tiny tots from Easwaramma English Medium School who followed gave a good account of themselves with their performance. Krishna dance amidst Gopalas stood out in their performance. Girl students from College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, SSSIHMS, Whitefield gave a brief performance with demonstration of the art of Karate and breaking of tiles.

The last performance for the session was from the students of SSSIHL, Brindavan Campus. They made an exhibition of the games of football, basketball, Volleyball and Cricket. Their performance ended with fire drill, which needs special mention. The precise movements of the torch bearers with various formations like Swastik, Sudarshan Chakra and Mexican wave were the highlights of the evening programme. The evening session ended with Arati at 1840 hrs.

Morning Session:
The Annual Sports & Cultural Meet 2012 of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions began with a march past of the students of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions this morning. Earlier at 0800 hrs., Bhagawan was symbolically ushered in the stadium.

A convertible bearing the photograph of Bhagawan was escorted by motor bike riders, brass band of Prasanthi Nilayam and Anantapur Campus and the flag march squad. There were two performances for the morning session. To begin with, the Prasanthi Nilayam students exhibited their skill, dexterity, balance and verve through daring martial art stunts, dances and breathtaking motor bike stunts.


The second performance was by the students of Anantapur Campus. The girl students performed various synchronous formations on roller skates and dances. The session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan at 1015 hrs.

Brindavan Campus followed by children from Primary School and Easwaramma English Medium School will perform in the afternoon. A series of Cultural programmes featuring all the three campuses and Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School will be staged on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th evenings. Price distribution ceremony of the Meet will be held on the auspicious Makara Sankranthi morning, Jan 15, 2012.
