Prasanthi’s Glorious Birthday Morning…

Birthdays are for the mortals. For the One Who proclaimed to have no birth and death, there is no birthday. But, when He chose to descend down in physical frame, He, with His supreme munifincence conferred upon humanity the heavenly boon to celebrate His Advent. 23rd November has been the day in the Sri Sathya Sai Calendar… and over 4 decades the Sai fraternity has been joining together celebrating The Day of His Supreme Advent!

When the day dawned in the tiny hamlet called Puttaparthi this morning, there was ‘joy unmatched’, mixed with a tinge of nostalgia…nostalgia of the golden past of the beautious form gliding into the sea of devotees, with His ever unmatched nonchalant spirit, gracing the occasion, blessing humanity and the world beyond. …and silent submission from the capacity audience in the Sai Kulwant Hall seemed to be echoing a missing tune… as if singing…

…i miss You, my Beloved One…
Oh! How i miss You…
…this yearning for Your Presence…
…will never subside…
…though i know for sure…in my heart…
…You do blissfully reside…

In the morning the proceedings began at 0800 hrs. with Veda chanting. Students took over singing Birthday glory… glory of Sri Sathya Sai spelling their love out for their Beloved Swami… Singing a song of His Avataric glory, “Manushini Madahavunicheya Mahine Swargamukamacha…”, the students followed singing a song of Unity, “Aao Sab Milkar Gaao…”. A Carnatic song comprising compiled padyams of Bhagawan followed by a video presentation on the epochal 50th Birthday celebrations came next before the final song, the eternal song of love, “Hum Ko Tumsey Pyaar Kithna…”.
