Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital @ 60…

Scoring a unique first, Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital at Prasanthi Nilayam stands tall among the medical institutions of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai, being the harbinger of the mighty Sathya Sai Medicare mission.  The first ever hospital commissioned under the ‘banner’ of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is turning 60 on 4th October 2015. Ever since its inception, it has been unfolding a saga of selfless, relentless service, holding aloft Bhagawan’s maxim, “Love All Serve All”.

Celebrating the momentous occasion, the staffers from SSSGH presented a drama entitled “Deho Devalaya” this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. This sublime creative expression was a sequel to the year 2012 presentation with the same title.

Deho Devalaya enacted in Telugu focused on the properties of the monster mind, the maker or breaker of health and thus, of spirituality. Introducing the villain – mind, as the protagonist, the socio-medico-fantasy drama in the next one hour showcased the idiosyncrasies of the mind, the vices, namely – tension, blame-game, temptation, desires-unlimited, gossiping, restlessness and so on, which ‘efficiently’ run the web of illusion, tricking the ‘villain’ to spell the doom.  How, following the tenets of Bhagawan, one can cross-over the hurdle called Maya? The presentation in its final phase came up with the ‘Sai solutions’ to save mankind from the monster like devilish mind channelising steadfast positivity, a shift, a metamorphosis through the medium of selfless service, jyothi meditation of Soham, etc.

Truly, the human body becomes a temple when the mind steers to transform…

At the end, the hall resounded with the theme song “Puttapartheesudanda Bangaru Swami Pudaminelu Prabhu Yenta…” bringing the curtains down on a most entertaining socio-medico-fantasy drama based on Bhagawan’s teachings.

Earlier, the programme commenced with an introductory speech by Dr Vinod Kumar Varma – Superintendent of SSSGH. Calling it a unique role model and an example of service extended in the spirit of oneness, Dr Varma then presented an elaborate report on the ‘modus operandi’ of the first of Bhagawan’s Temples of Healing. Dr Varma ended with a beautiful anecdote of the ‘holistic effect of Sathya Sai Healthcare’, involving a US devotee, whose faith in Bhagawan healed him of a dreaded disease completely.

The Golden Jubilee Souvenir – Divya Sanjeevani, was then released by Sri K. Chakravarthi, Member Secretary, SSSCT, in the Divine Presence.

Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
