Our Lives…Your Message – Drama by the Higher Secondary School…

The students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam presented a drama entitled “Our Lives – Your Message” as part of the ongoing Annual Sports and Cultural Festival of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The world suffers not because of the violence of the bad people, but because of the silence of the good ones. Bringing this statement upfront, this evening’s presentation portrayed one such soul from India’s financial capital Mumbai, who dared to break his silence against injustice, inspired by His Master’s teachings.

Sathya Swarup, an alumnus of Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, now a corporate pharmaceutical leader of great success, was in a dilemma just before a fresh prestigious launch of a new drug, Ephemerol, that had a huge investment backing as well years of toil by a team of experts. A last minute adverse report turned him perplexed, with dharma battling adharma within followed by stiff resistance from outside. Inspired by Bhagawan, after much of inner turmoil, Swarup finally decided to go by his conscience, calling off the much touted launch, against oddities galore from his world around.

To give life we need a heart and that heart should beat for others, argued a rightfully nonchalant Swarup, convincing and educating his friends, standing firm by his conscientious call. To a stunned corporate world, stunned at his exceptionally principled decision, Swarup declared with humility, that he simply went by His Master’s Words making his life His message.

Beautiful episodes from the epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata, served as pointers to righteous living, giving a fillip to the protagonists dharmic bend of mind.

At the end a beautiful value-oriented eye-opener for the present generation.

Bhajan continued and Mangala Arathi at 1850 hrs brought the curtains down for the evening.
