70 Years of Indian Independence Celebrated…

Celebrating 70 glorious years of Bharat’s independence, the students of Bhagawan’s educational Institutions gathered to reminisce the countless sacrifices made for every Indian’s freedom, to extol the glory of this magnificent Nation and relive the massages of freedom and independence, given by Beloved Bhagawan. The musical evening was a humble attempt to forge, if not strengthen that unique bond of love that ties the Nation together– all children of the same motherland, as children of the same universal mother whom is adored as Mother Sai.

The program commenced with a scintillating rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ which flowed into ‘Aha Raha Tava…’ – the celebrated poem of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, which Bhagawan HimSelf used to sing in His childhood days. Then, describing the boundless beauty of Mother India, Sai Kulwant Hall was all ears to the melodious tunes of “Jahaan Daal Par Sone Ki…” and “Dharthi Sunehari Ambar Neela…”. This was followed by a cascade of patriotic songs and echoes of the Institute’s Brass Band, which extolled the sacrifices of those great freedom fighters who surrendered their everything, at the altar of patriotic zeal. The evening culminated with songs of harmony and unity and concluded with a Qawali entitled “Tere Dwar Pe Jo bhi Aaye…” which took the entire audience into ecstasies of musical rhapsody.

The evening presentation at Sai Kulwant Hall ended with Bhajans and Mangala Aarathi at 1820 hrs.
