“I am also one of you who is trying to work for humanity; let’s exchange lessons from each other and make health care a better Health Care facility in coming times”,  were the inspiring words suffused with great humility and dedication by the Hon’ble Union Minister For Health & Family Welfare, Sri Jagat Prakash Nadda this evening here, in the Divine OmniPresence at Prasanthi Nilayam.

The occasion was a special function commemorating the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Bhagawan’s ‘role-model’ Temple Of Healing, SSSIHMS – Prasanthigram. The Temple Of Healing was pressed into service on 22nd November 1991 by the then Prime Minister Of India, Sri PV Narasimha Rao, in the immediate Divine Presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Delivering his guest of honour speech, the Minister also highlighted on the commendable effort by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, in taking the mission with sustainable pace in the physical absence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai. It is not an easy task, the Minister observed, as with Bhagawan in the physical, it is His power that works directly, and in His ‘physical’ absence, running the show with sustainable pace is commendable, lauded the Minister. It is not alone the disease, but the patient also is taken care of, said the Minister touching upon the unique  mission with compassion, spiritualism, human values, done completely free of cost.

Earlier, the function commenced at 1650 hrs with an introductory welcome speech by Sri SS Naganand, Trust Member, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Calling the Medicare Mission of Sai a unique shining example for India, Sri Naganand briefed in short of the monumental growth of Bhagawan’s Medicare Mission enumerating major statistics.

Speaking next, Dr (Ms) Neelam Desai, Head Of Department, Cardiothoracic Surgery, touched upon the current plight of the Medicare Mission in India, that has become purely business oriented. Revolution of hearts and minds to awaken all is the need of the time, observed Dr Neelam, calling the epochal Medicare Mission of Swami the right antidote for the current situation.

Prestigious Certificate Of Accreditation by NABH (National Accreditation Board For Healthcare and Hospitals) was then handed over to the Director at SSSIHMS, Dr Gurumurthi by the Director of NABH Dr BK Rana, who was also present during the occasion.

Five senior doctors were felicitated during the occasion for the long-time, outstanding dedicated service in Bhagawan’s Medicare Mission. The doctors felicitated were, Dr Neelam Desai, HOD, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dr Ramnath Iyear, HOD, Cardiology,  Dr CK Reddy, HOD, Radiology and Dr Venkata Raghava Reddy, HOD, Plastic Surgery and Dr PK Dash, HOD, Cardiology at SSSIHMS, Whitefield.

Dr Rajan Anand, Consultant, Dept Of Anaesthesiology delivered the vote of thanks.

Bhajans continued and concluded with Bhagawan’s ‘Sunday Special’ bhajan, “Love Is My Form…Truth Is My Breath…” filling and fulfilling the minds, hearts and souls in Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam.

Mangala Arathi at  1805 hrs marked the end of the day’s proceedings.
