A Soul-Stirring Guru Purnima Evening…

An award ceremony, magazine release and a soul-stirring Carnatic Instrumental marked the holy Guru Purnima evening today, here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The session commenced with the valedictory diploma certification ceremony of the Sri Sathya Sai Educare Programme. Fourteen eligible candidates, both men and women from various Sathya Sai Schools pan-India were presented with the diploma, given away by Trust Member Justice (Retd) AP Mishra. Earlier, commencing the session, Dr BJ Pitre, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Educare, briefly summarised the broad details about the diploma programme.

A magazine release followed next, dedicating ‘Sai Sevamrut’, a Kannada bi-monthly disseminating Sri Sathya Sai Teachings. Sri Gangadhar Bhat, a veteran from Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust, Alike offered the magazine at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet. He later addressed the assembly in brief, speaking in Hindi.

A scintillatingly soul-stirring Carnatic Instrumental Duet ensued next, offered by the husband-wife duo, Charumathi Raghuraman and Anand R Krishnan, on Violin and Mridangam respectively. Exhibiting wonderful synchronicity, the duo presented a scintillating Carnatic Instrumental session for an hour, playing out to perfection, well received by an appreciative audience that went into rapturous applause.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi at 1845 hrs.
