Swami & Navaratri…Prof Anil Kumar’s Speech…

As the holy Devi Navaratri celebrations moved on to day-3 today, Bhagawan’s official translator and erudite orator Prof Anil Kumar delivered a structured speech in Telugu and English alternately, airing and disseminating words of spiritual wisdom this evening in Prasanthi Nilayam. Deliberating on the topic “Swami & Navaratri”, Prof Anil Kumar this evening effectively converted the loads of knowledge and insight that he was blessed to have over the years of association with Bhagawan into a natural eloquence of great understanding and wisdom, much to the benefit of the students and the august audience in general.

Beginning with a reference to the festive association with the Saptaha Jnana Yajna, he first explained how the Yajna Kunda represents the human mind and the offerings, human desires, attachments, possessions, etc, as explained by Bhagawan HimSelf. Every festival in Prasanthi Nilayam starts with rituals in the morning followed by Bhagawan’s lucid explanation on the same in the evening, making it a rare combination of Ritual and Spiritual, said Prof Anil Kumar highlighting on the typical Prasanthi Dasara celebrations over the years.

Meandering through the session in his inimitable style, the speaker went on explaining the significance of the Navavarana Yantram, being installed in the Yajna Kunda during the Dasara Yajna, to the festive association with the great epics Srimad Bhagavatam and Sri Devi Bhagavatam, explaining in detail. Mixing the speech with some of the interesting anecdotes from the Dasara occasion, he also touched upon the intricate spiritual details, explaining lucidly of the three states of existence that is spiritually connoted as Tripura Sundari, the ‘experiencer’ being one and same.

How, during the first ever Dasara celebrations under Bhagawan’s direct guidance that had happened at the Venkatagiri Palace brought out the Supreme Divinity of Bhagawan via an interesting incident was explained by the speaker. Scholarly pundits had reservations about the young Baba about His authority and authenticity. Yet, they received the command and procured all the items as guided by Bhagawan. As they went to report to Him, as if everything is done to perfection, Bhagawan asked about a missing item, a Kamandulu that was an absolute must. To the embarrassed scholars, Bhagawan asked them to collect a Kamadulu that Bhagawan had used at Shirdi, then lying in a safe corner at the palace, enough to reveal His identity to the ‘doubting thomases’.

Briefing on the inestimably mysterious depth of the microcosmic… macrocosmic Supreme Divinity through poetic rhymes in Telugu, the erudite speaker ended his thrillingly inciting speech reminding the audience once again of the varied levels of existence or consciousness.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
