Prasanthi Vidhwan MahaSabha – Final Session

After the grand culmination of the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna this morning, marking the grand-finale of the Prasanthi Dasara celebrations,  noted vocalist Ashwath Narayanan from Tamilnadu presented a Carnatic offering this 7th and final evening of the Prasanthi Vidhwan MahaSabha in Prasanthi Nilayam today.

Dr KM Ganesh, faculty with SSSIHL, introduced the session at 1645 hrs after a soulful Vedic invocation by the tiny tots from Smt Easwaramma English Medium High School. Sharing his thoughts on the festive significance of Dasara in Prasanthi Nilayam, Sri Ganesh then introduced the ensuing session, announcing the prospect of Keertanam after continuous Shravanam for the past six days.

Sri Ashwath Narayanan commenced with ‘Devadi Deva…‘ and flowed on serenading with ‘Sri Saraswati Namostutey…’, ‘Bandureeti…’, ‘Paluke Bangaramayena…’, ‘Sagara Sayana Vibho…’, ‘Venkatachalanilayam Vaikuntapuravasam…’, ‘Koti Pranams Shata Koti Pranam…’

Voicing rich and majestic, with expressions effortless, Sri Ashwath Narayan with his selected composition could kindle the earnestness in the audience, serving the purpose for the evening, directing hearts and minds to Supreme Lotus Feet.

The artist was accompanied by Sarvasree RamKrishnanLakshman on Violin and B. GanapathiRaman on Mridangam.

Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
