Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna commences in Prasanthi Nilayam

Week-long Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna coinciding Devi Navaratri festival commenced this morning in Prasanthi Nilayam. The legend has it that Dasara signifies the victory of Righteousness over the forces of evil. The festival of Dasara, atypical in Prasanthi Nilayam by its conduct and style, brings nostalgic memoirs of the grand occasion of olden golden days in Bhagawan’s immediate Divine Presence.

This morning’s proceedings began with a ceremonial procession carrying the sanctified Kalasha to the venue, Poornachandra Auditorium, accompanied by Vedic chanting. The Yajna commenced soon after 0900 hrs with the lighting of the ceremonial fire. The fire is traditionally lit from the friction of twin wood pieces which goes into the Yajna Kunda (pit) commencing the Yajna. A packed assembly of devotees along with students attended the grand spiritual feast this morning.

The week-long Yajna is conducted for world peace, initiated by Bhagawan decades ago. Coinciding the Yajna, week-long Dasara Vidhwan Mahasabha, ensemble of the learned, will be commencing this evening in the Sai Kulwant Hall. These session will be studded with enlightening speeches along with cultural programmes, representing various campuses of SSSIHL.
