Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu – The Prayer In The ‘NOW’

Facing the most unprecedented time in the history of recent generations, being Sai devotees, how do we go about it, facing the oddities upfront?

Knowing our Beloved Bhagawan, having experienced Sai as the Sampoorna Avatar, do we need to entertain any fear? In common parlance, it is said, fear is nothing but the absence of love. So how do we tackle this looming danger?

The answer is simple. Know that Sri Sathya Sai Is The Lord Supreme. Accept His dictum and move on, loving all and serving all. Instead of focusing on the looming danger, as we prefer to call it out of our human experience, what man needs to focus now is the brighter side of His Divinity.

Bhagawan has always been reminding him of His True Truth, that He Is in essence, Divine. He would address His devotees always as Premaswarupulara, Divyatmaswaruprulara…etc, clear evidence of man’s true nature of Divine origin.

So, when he is in the grip of a looming threat that is engulfing him in all parts of the globe, irrespective of status any, all he has to do is to go back to his roots. For the man, who has been living deep into materialism all this talk of truth and true truth can simply be confusing and thus useless. But, for the folk of devout ones, who knows Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai as the Ultimate Divine Persona, the task becomes much easier.

It is in this context that every Sai devotee should go back to that epochal day of 31st August 2008, the day when Bhagawan rephrased the Mantra for worldly well-being, ‘Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu’ in a trice, sans any pretence, intoning the new MahaMantra, ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’. Intoning the same to a blessed folk of White Army, The Lord Supreme averred then:

“At the end of the bhajans, you are chanting ‘Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu’. It is great and expansive. As you chant this, you are thinking of only this world, in which you are living in, implying an individual feeling; this is not correct. It is ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’, which is an expansive, all-encompassing feeling, covering all the worlds.”

As our country, second largest democracy in the world with 1.3 billion population, is going into a total lockdown for a period of 21 days from this midnight in her fight with the global pandemic threat, let’s recall the above dictum of Beloved Bhagawan, while resolving to spend our best of time in incessant prayers echoing ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’.

Let The Whole Of Creation Be Happy And Peaceful…Worlds Many…Worlds All!!!
